Jessie Arnold (1884) was a character actress who started in shorts in the silent era prior to the Great War and continued all the way through to her death in 1955. She appeared in over 150 films, mostly in uncredited roles. She appeared in THE SNIPER, THE CLOCK, and several shorts with future Stooge Joe Besser. Her Weidler appearance was as a prospector’s wife in GOLD RUSH MAISIE (1940). The photo is from DIZZY YARDBIRD, one of her Besser films.
